Unfortunately, Austria has no access to the open sea. But that doesn't mean you have to put sailing out of your mind. Quite the opposite. With its beautiful lakes, Austria offers the ideal place for newcomers and experienced sailors alike. Here you can easily test yourself and your boat and moor up at various harbours for excursions ashore. Or you can simply enjoy a boat from one of our partners and relax on one of the lakes surrounded by mountains.
Austria inspires everyone with its nature. The mountains, lakes and architecture are an experience that you will rarely find united in this way anywhere else. An exact weather forecast is difficult to make, as the areas could not be more different. In the Salzkammergut, the weather can change quickly and strong thunderstorms are possible, while on Lake Neusiedl the wind can sometimes be very strong.
